MP3 to video.

YouTube, TikTok and Instagram do not take audio. This turns an MP3 into a video: the cover, the title and a visualizer that moves with the song, as a 1080p MP4. Made on your own machine.

How to turn an MP3 into a video

A song needs a picture before it can be posted, and a picture that moves with it gets watched. This page is the same converter as MP3 to MP4 with the visualizer first: the spectrum of your actual track drives the bars, the halo or the waveform, frame by frame, rather than a loop pasted over the audio. It renders in your browser at 1080p; nothing uploads and nothing is watermarked.

  1. Drop the MP3 on the page. It is analyzed on your device, one spectrum per video frame, and the album art inside the file is picked up as the cover.
  2. Pick what moves: Bars, Halo or Line follow the music; Vinyl and Film put the cover on a turning record or on film; Still holds the cover and only breathes.
  3. Type the title and the artist, change the cover or the colors. Choose 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 for a feed.
  4. Choose the whole song (up to ten minutes) or a 15, 30 or 60 second clip from the best part, and press Export. The MP4 downloads with the song as AAC, or silent if you will add the official sound in the app.

Questions

MP3 to video or MP3 to MP4: which page do I want?+

They are the same tool. This page opens with a visualizer that moves with the song; the MP3 to MP4 page opens with the cover held still. Switch styles on either page.

Which style for YouTube, and which for TikTok?+

For YouTube, 16:9 and a style that holds up for a whole song: Bars, Halo, Vinyl or Film. For TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 9:16 and a 15 to 60 second clip; every style has its own vertical layout.

Does the song's audio go into the video?+

Yes, as AAC, ready to upload. Choose Silent file under Export if you will add the official sound in TikTok or Instagram instead, which is what puts the video on the sound's page.

I have no cover for the song. What shows?+

A typographic cover made from the title in the colors you pick, or any image you upload. The album cover maker on this site makes a proper one from a title, an artist and a photo.

How long does it take?+

About a quarter of the song's length on a recent laptop and about half on a phone: a four minute song is roughly one minute on desktop. Keep the tab open while it renders.

Does my file get uploaded?+

No. The file is decoded, drawn and encoded in your browser with the WebCodecs API. Nothing leaves your machine, there is no queue and no watermark.

How long can the file be?+

Up to ten minutes per export, at 1080p, free. A longer file, a full album side or a podcast episode, goes out in parts for now: set the start, export ten minutes, set the next start. Pro, which is coming, renders the whole file in one piece on our servers.

Which frame for YouTube, and which for Reels?+

16:9 for YouTube, the whole file. 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, usually a 15, 30 or 60 second clip from the best part. 1:1 for feeds. The frame switch sits beside the player and every style has its own layout for each.
